With a purse of 25,000.00 euros, the main Award is granted by a jury that consists of eleven prominent personalities from the cultural world in Spain.
On November 6, the BMW Group España will present the awards at the Auditorio Nacional de Música, in a ceremony hosted by Queen Sofía of Spain. Later on, a concert is scheduled in benefit of World in Harmony; a non-profit organization presided over by Her Highness Princess Irene of Greece.
The following main awards will be presented during the event: the BMW Award, with a purse of 25,000.00 euros; the Mario Antolín Grant for Pictorial Research, with a purse of 8,000.00 euros; and the BMW Award to Young Talent that offers a purse of 4,000.00 euros directed to very young artists between the ages of 8 and 12. The jury will also present 10 Medals of Honor and will select the works that they regard as the most interesting from the group. These works will be included in a later exhibition at the Centro Cultural Casa de Vacas located in Parque del Buen Retiro.
