CA2M, the Dos de Mayo Art Center, Contemporary Art Museum of the Community of Madrid, a dependency of the General Directorate for Cultural Promotion, has initiated the search for a new Director. 
Interested candidates must submit their applications accompanied by a letter explaining their motivation. Submissions must include a CV (three pages or less) detailing their academic background and professional experience. Additional materials can be submitted as annexes. 
Candidates must also submit, as an essential element for their evaluation, a memorial of their project for the museum (15 pages or less), including at least the following: an analysis of the Center’s current situation; a planning proposal with long-term objectives; specific projects for the collection, exhibitions, activities, educational program, and publications; and intended formulas for the enhancement of the Center’s relationship with the local, national, and international contexts.  
All documentation must be submitted to the General Registrar, Government of the Community of Madrid’s Office for the Presidency, Justice, and Representation, located at Caballero de Gracia Street nº 32, Madrid, or in any of the forms established in Law 30/1992 Nov 26, Art. 38 covering the Legal Regime for Public Administration and Common Administrative Procedures. Submissions must be addressed to Dirección General de Promoción Cultural. Oficina de Cultura y Turismo, and must be labeled “Proceso de selección de Dirección del CA2M”
After submission of their candidacy to the Registrar, and to guarantee a speedy selection process, candidates must email detailing the date and register to which they have submitted their documents.
The deadline for submission is October 30. All information must be presented in Spanish. 
The selection process will have two phases: 
1.In a first phase, the selection committee will evaluate applications on their merit and pre-select the candidates. 
2.In a second phase, the selection committee will interview pre-selected candidates, to which end they may ask candidates to furnish documentary proof of their academic degrees and achievements under evaluation, an expansion of the project submitted, and professional references. After deliberating, the committee will present a proposal to the Government of the Community of Madrid’s Office for the Presidency, Justice, and Representation, for approval and appointment.
